Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actress and writer best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions before making it famous in the national stage space with Li'l Abner' in the year 1957. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music called It's time for Tina. Louise began her journey into Hollywood as Griselda Walden, a character from God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise was awarded her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career with ease between Broadway television and Hollywood portraying somber characters as opposed to her image as being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years, she's also become an acclaimed director of well-known television shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birth date was 28 August 1965, in Essex. When she was 3years old, her family moved her to Toronto which is where she spent the majority of her childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and she has settled down in Toronto ever since.
