Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer and songwriter. The majority of people recognize the name as Erica Goldberg, from the show 'The Goldbergs' on television. She is primarily the performer. Music is the first passion she maintains; it is something she's dabbled into when she was just 9 years old. The first time she began to study the field of music professionally at 12 years old. She began songwriting when she was 13, and she was just 14 when she released her first album of cover songs. From that point on, there's been nothing but positive. Orrantia was born in the USA however she has Hispanic roots. She's proud of the existence of Hispanic roots although she was raised speaking English only, and did not live in Mexico. Her goal is to preserve it through the creation of Spanish songs, and also learning the language. "Hasta Verte," a track that she wrote in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions throughout the summer of 2011. Orrantia got 4 "yeses" to the judges in the Seattle live auditions after getting selected based on her YouTube video submission. Her initial audition was for solo performance, but in "Hollywood week" she was placed with three other female vocalists in a trio for the remaining auditions. They were eliminated during the fifth week of the live show.
